Wake up, Put on this Cow Costume, and Let's Go!

Ruth and her friend Ali, contemplating tent set up.
On Tuesday, Ruth went to church girl's camp. She was with lots of friends and had a good time, though it was raining, cold and muddy most of the week.   She came home Friday, dirty and exhausted.

On Thursday, Chuck came home and announced that the next day was Dress Like a Cow Day at Chick-fil-A, so we headed off to the store to buy supplies.  Once a year Chick-fil-A gives away free meals to anyone dressed as a cow.  In the past we've stapled paper spots to ourselves, but this year we thought with just little investment of time and money we could have reusable costumes.   $13 and a few hours latter, I had made 5 cow shirts (complete with tail).

On Friday, when Ruth walked in the door from camp, at around noon, she went straight to the shower. When the hot water ran out, she came out of the shower, and we dragged her to 7-11 to get free Slurpees.  After buying slurpees at the Mavrick, because the line was too long at the 7-11, Ruth  went to take a nap.

At 4:30 I woke up Ruth and threw a cow costume at her.  I told her either she could wake up and put on the cow costume or she could stay home and eat left overs.  Luckily, Ruth was a good sport, and doesn't mind wearing costumes.   The line at the Chick-fil-A wasn't that long, and the employees were all very nice.  We ate $40 worth of food for free, and even got to meet the cow, and the little cow.   Good times were had by all.

I got home from girls camp on Friday too. But I didn't really get home until about 3:15 because we had to essentially set up camp again to clean up after all the rain and mud. Made it to Chick-fil-a that evening around 7:30 for dinner. I love dress like a cow day.
